Hello everyone,First of all I wish you all a lovely day. I wonder is it possible to download a torrent through visual basic? Basically 'Integrating UTorrent' in Visual basic? Like I put in a magnet url, and it proceeds to download it. Or I let them open a torrent file and it starts downloading. I tried googling but sadly whenever I write 'How to download torrent in visual basic' It pops up all torrents for downloading visual basic which I'm not interested in. So I decided to post a topic and see if someone can help me out here.Any answer is very much appreciated.Sincerly,Samo.
Put a better way:Your explanation is a kind of high-level overview of how BitTorrent works. It's sort of on the level I'd use to explain to any non-tech person: it downloads files in lots of small pieces and coordinates with everyone else to figure out who should give you each piece.
But many things in programming are much easier to explain than do. BitTorrent is a protocol, and if you want to write a client you have to implement the protocol exactly as specified. Small mistakes can lead to subtle errors, and an implementation would probably take a week or so of effort if you asked someone who'd already done it once. That's kind of what OP figured out. It seems like they found the protocol and figured out exactly how much effort it'd take, and decided they had better ways to spend their life. They even left a link to the resource that had an implementation and convinced them they didn't want to roll their own.
I wish more people were so helpful!I get from your #3 you felt like it was simple and wanted to know why OP believed it was hard. Those resources were there in #2, or the question would've been better expressed as, 'Wait, why do you think it was so hard? I feel like it's simple, can someone else explain?' I think ident picked up a sense of 'Don't give up, it's easy!' I don't think that was your intent. →.new.Get practical advice and learn best practices for moving your applications from RDBMS to the Couchbase Engagement Database.
